Barbara Truesdale Echols

LANCASTER, S.C. Mrs. Barbara Truesdale Echols, age 84 died Sunday Evening September 15, 2024 at MUSC Health Lancaster.

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday September 20, 2024, at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow at Shiloh A.R.P. Church Cemetery beside her First Husband Mr. W.A. Truesdale.

Barbara was born September 23, 1939, in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Alger Poag and Kathleen Sistare Poag and was twice married, first to the late W.A. Truesdale, and second to the late Bill Echols.  Barbara retired from Lancaster County School Media Center and was Co-Owner of Carolina Men's Wear in Lancaster Shopping Center with her first Husband Mr. W.A. Truesdale.

Barbara is survived by a son DeRan Truesdale and Finance' Trippy Catoe, three Grandchildren Lindsay Truesdale, Taylor Truesdale Cooper(Jay) and Chase Truesdale, and a Great-Grandchild Tatum Cooper, a brother Tom Poag and his late wife Jane Poag of Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Ashmore (W A) Truesdale and her daughter Rhonda Jean Truesdale.
