Mrs. Betty Jean Burris Emanuel, age 85 died early Saturday Morning December 9, 2017 at Carolina Gardens in Rock Hill. The Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Chapel 684 Hubbard Drive, with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park, The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. before service time at the funeral home.Mrs. Emanuel was born in Louieville, Kentucky a daughter of the late Rev. James Franklin Burris and Belle Gibson Burris. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, A member of the Lancaster Garden Club, a National Flower Judge, and helped with the Spider Lilies at Landsford Canal.She is survived by a daughter, Anne Emanuel Moran of Davidson, N.C., a son-in-law Benjie Gregory of Heath Springs,3 grandchildren, Vickie Moran Kilby and husband Jeremy Kilby, Dru Gregory and his Fiancee Shelley Connell, and Nina Gregory, 2 Great-Grandchildren P.J. Aguliar-Kilby and Jace Kilby.
