Indian Land, S.C. Mrs. Betty Hooks Taylor, age 70, died Saturday September 10, 2016 at her home. Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at Center Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Waxhaw, N.C. by the Rev Clarence Hensley with burial in Center Grove Cemetery in Indian Land. Visitation will be from 1pm until 2pm before services at the church. Mrs. Taylor was born November 23, 1945 in Waxhaw, N.C. a daughter of the late J.D. Hooks and Susan Goforth Hooks, and was married to the late William 'Billy' Taylor. Mrs. Taylor retired from Rexham Corporation and a member of Center Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Betty is survived by 3 daughters Debbie Stafford and her husband Joseph Stafford, Sandra Taylor and Joyce Taylor all of Indian Land 3 Grandchildren William Daniel 'Bill' Taylor, Tiffany McCraven, and Michelle Gordon, 6 great grandchildren, Bryson, Conor, Daylin, Malina, Reannah, and Ariella. She was preceded in death by 1 brother James Daniel Hooks, and 2 sisters Joyce Dianne Hooks and Frances Ruth Phillips.
