LANCASTER, S.C. Mrs. Carolyn Cockrell age 81 wife of the late Monk Cockrell died Monday Eveningat her home. The Funeral Service will be 2 P.M. Saturday June 12, 2021 at Jerry Hartley Funeral HomeChapel. Burial will be beside her husband Monk at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive Friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday June 12, 2021 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home,684 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, S.C. 803-285-8000.Carolyn was born in Cowpens S.C. (Spartanburg County) a daughter of the late James M. Wood and Bessie Jackson Wood, and was married to the late Harold "Monk" Cockrell.Carolyn retired from Springs Memorial Hospital as a Nurse, was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. She loved her garden of flowers, and loved life.Carolyn is survived by her a son Patrick Cockrell and wife Mandy, daughters Debra Catoe, and Lisa Greaser and husband Ericher Grandchildren, Grant and Gage Greaser, Amanda Cockrell, Amy Cockrell Culletto, Ryan Cockrell, and Conway Cockrell,Great Grandchildren Gabe, Lucas, Benny, and Maddy Culletto, and 1 sister Joyce Jolley. Carolyn was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Rollings.
