LANCASTER, S.C. Mrs. Carolyn Shumake Kinard age 86 died Sunday March 06, 2022 at her home . The Funeral Service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Second Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Brian Saxon, Rev. Larry Helm, and her son In Law Rev. Mitch Ingram, burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Second Baptist Church in Lancaster. Carolyn retired from Springs Industries Customer Service Center after 40 years in 1998. She was a member of Second Baptist Church Since 1959 taught Sunday School and worked with the Youth, past member of the Adult Choir, served as WMU Director and loved working with her Senior Adults.Carolyn was born August 24, 1935 In Hartsville, S.C. a daughter of the late Oliver Shumake,and Ellen Elizabeth Kelly Shumake, and was married to Harry Kinard of the home. She is survived by her Husband Harry, 2 Daughters Chris Ingram and Husband Rev. Mitch Ingram, and Fran Knight , 5 Grandchildren Bryan Knight, Denise Hinson, Jason Ingram, Kelly Blackmon and Kasie Ingram, 8 Great Grandchildren Justin Hinson, Nicole Adams, Kylee Hinson, Kathryn Ingram, Kamryn Ingram, Jaxon Ingram, Emma Lee Blackmon,and Klaire Blackmon, and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Jackie Ingram and Ronnie Ingram, and 2 Sisters Eva Sedlacek ,Elizabeth Clark and her Son In Law Paul Knight.The Family Suggest Memorials to Second Baptist Church 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.Carolyn is in the Care of Jerry Hartley Funeral Home, 684 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster S.C. #803-285-8000. .
