INDIAN LAND S.C. Mr. Charles Bowers age 79 husband of Maggie Bowers and Owner of Bowers Used Parts in Lancaster, S.C. Died Monday November 18, 2019. The Funeral Services are 2 P.M. Saturday afternoon November 23, 2019 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Chapel 684 Hubbard Drive by Rev. Donald Tillman, Visitation will follow in the Arlington Cemetery Veterans Room at the Funeral Home. Mr. Bowers was born December 31, 1939 in Lancaster County a son of Jasper Bowers and Viola Caskey Bowers, the son of a sharecropper and was married 55 years to the love of his life Maggie Diener Bowers, He was the Owner of Bowers Used Parts loved tractors, and recognized all vehicles if they had a motor as they passed by. He loved to travel, snow ski, and just loved everybody in general especially his family. He was also known as Mr. Bowers or OPA and served our Great Country in The United States Army. Charles is survived by his wife Maggie Bowers of the home, 2 Daughters Joan M. Bowers and fiance' Allen Johnson, and Caroline Hasty and husband Glyn of Tega Cay, 3 Grandchildren, Gregory Sims, Georgie Grace Hasty and Cara Faith Hasty, 5 brothers Anderson, Leo, Ted, Toy, and Condor Bowers. Charles was preceded in death by his twin sister at birth Georgia Mae Bowers, 4 brothers Bennie, Eugene, Herman, and Glen Bowers, 3 Sisters Betty Allman, Mary Ormand, and Mildred Duncan. Charles was also survived by many nieces and nephews, and especially 1 Adam Bowers The Family Suggest that those who care to make memorials, please do for a charity of your choice.
