LANCASTER. S.C. Mrs. Emma Joyce Reid Sowell age 83 died Friday Night November 12, 2021 at her home.The Graveside Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday November 16, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Knight Officiating, burial will follow the service.The Visitation with Family will be from 1:00 P.M.-1:45 P.M. Tuesday at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home.Joyce was born in Lancaster County November 21, 1937 a daughter of J.W. Reid and Edna Bagley Reid and was married to Ernest Benjamin "Ben" Sowell for 39 Years. Joyce was a Nurse and Employed by Springs Memorial Hospital for 35 years. Joyce is survived by 2 Sons Ricky Taylor and wife Donna, and Bennie Sowell, 2 Daughters Sharon Ghent King and husband Clayton, and Benjie Sowell Culler and husband Gordon, 6 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Joyce was Preceded in Death by 2 Brothers James "Jimmy" Reid, and Ronald "Punk" Reid, and 1 Sister Nancy Reid Hayes.
