Helen McGuirt Hunter Lancaster, SC Helen McGuirt Hunter 96 passed into eternal life Monday August 03, 2020. Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Maggie Gamble McGuirt andWilliam David McGuirt. She was married to the late George W. "Jack" Hunter Jr. She was preceded in death by 7 sistersand 2 brothers. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Jeanette McCord (Dave) of Anderson and Amy Dixon (George) ofRichburg; sons Ronald R Hunter (Nancy), Glenn C Hunter (Ruby) of Lancaster, Mark W Hunter(Diana) of Clover, and G Barry Hunter (Linda) of Columbia; Seven grandchildren, Beth Vaughn,Scott Hunter, Deron Hunter, Gregg Hunter, Jennifer Madison, James Fish, Janet Maner; andtwelve great grandchildren. Special appreciation and thanks to Lancaster White Oak Manor and Rock Hill Patrick HospiceHouse for their tender care. Immediate family only services with the Rev Tim Anderson and Dr. James Hilton presiding willbe held at 2 p. m. Thursday August 06, 2020 at Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial following in Lancaster Memorial Park. Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service at around 2:45 p. m . The family asked that social distancing be observed and facial coverings be worn. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Church, Lancaster Council on aging,LSPCA Lancaster, or charity of choice. Jerry Hartley Funeral Home is assisting the family .
