Ina R Mahon

Ina Rae Mahon, age 62, of Lancaster, SC entered her heavenly home peacefully on November 18th, 2024 after battling a long-term illness.

Born on December 24, 1961 in South Williamson, KY, Ina was the daughter of the late John "Jack" Browning and Louise "Booge" Browning.

She is survived by her beloved children, Heath (Lori) Mahon of Nashville, TN and Meagan (Brent) Griffith of Lancaster, SC; and her grandchildren, Nolan Mahon, Margot Mahon, and Atlas Griffith; her sisters Diane (Buddy) Wellman of Delbarton, WV; Teresa (Mark) Curry of Delbarton, WV; Tenna (Chris) Wyant of Pickerington, OH; Jackie Grimm of Chillicothe, OH; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Ina attended Burch High School and graduated in 1980. She was a member of Regional Church of God in Delbarton, WV, and served on their worship team and Sanctuary Choir for a number of years with her beautiful alto singing voice. While she had different career paths throughout her life, her greatest accomplishment was being called "Mom". She was known as a kind, gentle, soft-spoken soul with a generous heart. She devoted her time to different non-profit organizations including the We Can Program, Tug Valley Friendship Foundation and Samaritan's Purse. She was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking as well as taking scenic photography.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, a non-profit Ina held very dear to her heart.

A celebration of life will be held in December, near her birthday. Details will be given at a later date to allow the family time to grieve.

Ina's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, many friends, and all who knew her.
