LANCASTER, S.C. Mr. James Russell Ellis age 74 husband of Jenny Mungo Ellis died Sunday October 3, 2021 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, N.C The Funeral Services are 2 P.M. Thursday October 7, 2021 at Hyde Park Baptist Church By Rev. Charlie Simpson and Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive Friends and Family from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday Evening at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home 684 Hubbard Drive Lancaster, S.C. Russell was born June 14, 1947 a son of the late Roy Ross Ellis and Nettie Altman Ellis, and was married to Jenny Mungo Ellis. Russell was retired from Comporium as an Installer, a Member of Hyde Park Baptist Church and enjoyed Racing, Bowling, Fishing, Hunting, Camping, loved talking to people, a true Carolina Gamecock Fan, but most of all he loved his family.Russell is survived by his wife Jenny Mungo Ellis, 1 Daughter Janice Ellis Smith and Husband Robert Smith of Lancaster, 1 Son Joel Ellis and wife Jessica Ellis of Lancaster, 6 Grandchildren Heather Stevens, Jeanie Hill, Justine Ellis, Jessica Morris, Hailey Ellis, Josie Ellis, and 8 Great-Grandchildren.Russell was Preceded in Death by 1 Son Rusty Ellis and 1 Brother E.L.
