LANCASTER, S.C. Mr. James Monroe Oswald Sr. age 76 died early Friday Morning February 9, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Second Baptist Church By Rev. Dr. Brian Saxon, Rev. Larry Helm, and Rev. Don Waldrop, burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park. Visitation with the Family will be from 5-7 Sunday afternoon at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home.Mr. Oswald was born April 26, 1941 in Lexington County a son of W.D. Oswald and Melissie Douglas Oswald . He was employed as a Car Salesman with Lancaster Motor Company and worked 30 years as owner of Tom's Snacks, and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He loved the South Carolina Gamecocks, WWE Wrestling, and just loved people.Mr. Oswald is survived by 4 sons James Monroe Oswald, Jr. and wife Donna Oswald of Heath Springs, Jeffrey M. Oswald, Justin Oswald and Benjamin Oswald all of Lancaster, 1 daughter Jennifer Oswald Knight and husband Bob Knight of Surfside Beach, 4 Grandchildren, James Oswald III, Michaella Oswald, Allen Oswald and Megan Oswald.James was pre-ceded in death by 4 brothers, Billy Oswald, Robert Oswald, William Oswald, and Kenneth Oswald, Sr. The Family suggest memorials to St Judes Children Hospital, Regency Hospice of Rock Hill or the American Heart Association.
