LANCASTER, S.C. Mr. James R. "Elephant" Taylor age 85 husband of Hazel Kennington Taylor died Friday night August 14, 2020 at his home. The Funeral Services will be 3 P.M. Tuesday Afternoon at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy Fox Officiating, Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park. Mr. Taylor served our great country in the US Navy during the Korea conflict and military honors will be performed at the graveside. The Family of Mr. Taylor will Receive Friends from 6-8 P.M. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he retired as a Probation Officer in Law Enforcement, a member and former Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, Past President of Jackson Shrine Club, loved Sports and a True Gamecock Fan, he was Superintendent of the Lancaster Golf Course. and just enjoyed people. Jimmy was a kind hearted man who reached out to many in need without expecting anything in return Mr. Taylor was born in York County a son of the late Marion Augustus Taylor and Annie Mills Taylor Amerson and was married to his wife Hazel K. Taylor for over 60 Years. Members of Jimmy's family are his wife Hazel Taylor, 1 son Jim Taylor of Lake Wylie, 1 Daughter Sissy Taylor Gardner Grandchildren are Dustin Taylor and wife Christy Jo Taylor, Taylor Gardner and wife Jenny Gardner, and Morgan Perry Gardner, Great Grandchildren Addison Gardner, Jaxon, Coy, and Hunter Taylor. 1 Brother Marion J.
