Jean D Kennington

Lancaster, SC Jean Kennington born September 22, 1944 passed away May 8, 2026 peacefully at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.

Visitation will be 2-3 PM Wednesday May 13, 2026 ; with funeral service to follow at 3 PM at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home . Burial Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was the kind of woman who never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She told it like it was, loved fully, and was someone you could always count on no matter the circumstance. Her love, strength, and presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Brooks (Danny); her granddaughters, Kelly Lowery (Justin), Elizabeth Kennelly (Ryan), and Katherine Mayfield (Hunter); her great-grandchildren, Emma, Liam, Jacob, Paisley, Joshua, & Christian; her sister, Nancy Blackmon and brother, Robert Miles (Annette).

She was deeply loved and will be forever missed, but the memories and love she gave us will stay in our hearts forever. 

She was truly one of a kind.
