Jessie Knight Powell

FLORENCE, S.C.  Mrs. Jessie Knight Powell age 90 widow of the late Cletus Laverne Powell and formerly of Lancaster died  Wednesday October 11, 2023 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Mrs. Powell was born in Lancaster, S.C. on August 13, 1933, daughter of Curtis Lee Knight and Lilly Mae Hilton Knight. Jessie is survived by her son Russell Powell (Juanita), one brother Bobby Knight; two sisters Martha Finley and Carolyn Parker; 1 grandson Baker Powell.

Mrs. Powell was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed spending time with her family, and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company as an operator.
