Josephine "Jo" Payne Moseley

Mrs. Josephine "Jo" Payne Moseley,  age 92, passed away peacefully Friday night at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Moseley was born January 15, 1931 in Kershaw County. She was the daughter of the late Joe B. and Cora Parker Payne.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Jerry Hartley Funeral Home by the Rev. David Carlton.

The family will receive friends from 2-3pm, Tuesday at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home, 684 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720, and a private burial for family only will be held at Lancaster Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Moseley, sons David Hinson (Paula), Marty Hinson (Pat), and Barry Hinson (Patricia), daughters Linda Richardson (Mitch), Kathy Cranston (Sam), and Sherry Farias (Kevin), and step- daughter Annette McCracken (Todd), and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth "Buck Hinson,and a granddaughter, Stacy Crump.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Thelma Broach,Willie Mae Robinson, Kathleen Phillips, Joseph "J.B." Payne, James Payne, Mendel Payne, and Eugene Payne.
