MARIETTA, GA.
Katelyn Denise (Craig) Workman, age 36, of Marietta, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She passed peacefully with those she loved. Katelyn's faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, shaping her every decision. She saw God's hand guiding her as she lived each day with a keen sense of purpose. Her faith, love, inner strength, and clear vision set a powerful example for all who knew her.
She was born in Orlando, Florida, on August 13, 1988, to Denise (Wickliff) Craig and Al Craig and had a happy childhood in Lancaster, South Carolina. She was the third of three girls born to loving parents. She graduated from Keystone Academy (a homeschool) in 2007, Erskine College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree, and Carolinas College of Health Sciences in 2014 with a Radiology degree. On May 25, 2014, Katelyn married her beloved husband, Logan Workman. Together, they had three children—the center and purpose of her life. Her role as wife and mother wasn't simply something she cherished; it was her calling that she embraced wholeheartedly. Katelyn loved photography, poetry, crafting, being a vegan, and going to the beach. She was known for her sense of humor,beauty and long blonde hair.
Katelyn is survived by her husband, Logan Workman. Her three young children, Summer Cora Workman, Atlas Logan Workman, and Micah River Workman; her parents, Al and Denise Craig ; her sisters, Jessica Craig Bly and Sarah Craig; her nieces; her nephews; her best friend, Kassie Boone; and her extended family and friends. She is deeply loved by all and will be profoundly missed.
Katelyn Workman's life and legacy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Visitation and funeral services will be at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home, 684 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with her funeral service immediately following at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Craig Family Cemetery, 1423 Colony Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
