LANCASTER, S.C. Mrs. Mary Chapple Stogner, age 80, wife of the late Richard Stogner died Thursday at her home. The Funeral Service will tentatively be 2 P.M. Tuesday at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home, weather permitting, with visitation from 1-2- P.M. The burial will follow at Union Baptist Church and will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Richard Stogner. Mrs. Stogner loved to fish and spend time with her grandbabies. She loved taking care of her garden of roses.
Mrs. Stogner was born May 6, 1945 in Kershaw, S.C. The daughter of the late Mr. Will James Chapple and the late Mrs. Edna Louise Crowley Chapple. She was married to Mr. Richard Stogner. She was a member of Zamar Church and retired from Springs Industries Lancaster Plant as a weaver.
Mrs. Stogner is survived by her daughter, Christina Hayes (Samantha), four sons Danny "Sam" Stogner, Ronnie "Wennie" Stogner, Michael "Jack" Stogner, Randy "Jr" Stogner (Crystal). She had 25 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her best friend Audrey Earkman. Mrs. Stogner was preceded in death by her partner of 30 years, Clarence Adams. A son Carl "Hunk " Stogner. A great grandchild Raylee Poston. Two brothers Willie Chapple and Tommy Chapple and four sisters Elizabeth Chapple, Sarah Capple, Azalee Poston, and Kathy Moseley.
