Nita Rose Kersey

Lancaster, S.C. Mrs. Nita Kersey a daughter of James T Smith (Jake) and Pauline Smith passed away Sunday September 24, 2023 at Atrium CMC Main, Charlotte, N.C.

Mrs. Kersey was married to the late Roger David Kersey Jr. and employed by Springs Industries for a number of years and loved the beach and spending time with her family.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Mrs. Kersey is survived by her daughter Jessica P Kersey (Rico Bell), four brothers Jimmy Strawn, Sam Strawn, Ricky Strawn, and Tracey Smith; one sister Barbara Smith; Three grandchildren and one Great Grand Child on the way. Nita is survived by her Mother-in-law Sue Hollins who raised her from the age of 15.

Mrs. Kersey is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son David Jake Kersey; one brother Jimmy Smith, two sisters Brenda Griffin and Patricia Strawn.

Memorial Contributions can be given to daughter Jessica or dropped by the funeral home between the hours of 11-4.

Jerry Hartley Funeral Home 684 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, S.C. is directing the services for Mrs. Kersey and her family.
