Othell Burton, Jr.

FORT LAWN, S.C.  Mr. Othell Burton, Jr. age 69 husband of  Mrs. Connie Love Burton for 47 years died Sunday Morning September 6, 2026 at his home.  He was born in Meridian, Mississippi a son of the late Mr. Othell Burton, Sr and Mrs. Tommie Jean Smith Burton.  He worked for Viking Steel as an iron worker, and loved fishing, hunting, all animals, even a possum, and loved his family.

The Funeral Services for Mr. Othell Burton, Jr. will be 3 P.M. Wednesday afternoon September 9, 2026 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Donald Tillman with Visitation from 2-3 P.M before the service starts, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery 2868 Gaston Farm Road, Richburg, S.C.

Mr. Burton is survived by his wife of 47 years Connie Smith Burton of the home, a daughter Jenny Marie Burton and husband Randall, four sisters Carolyn Burton Holcombe, Brenda Burton, Lori Chiodo, and Vicky Kern. 

Mr. Burton was preceded in death by a son Jacob Othell Burton, and Jason and Zachary as twin brothers at birth.
