Mrs. Phyllis Belk entered rest on January 03, 2025, and into the loving arms of her savior, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Mrs. Phyllis Belk was the daughter of the late Donald Edward Stevens and Frances Laney Stevens.

Mrs. Phyllis Belk is survived by the love of her life James Ray Belk and their three children. Jillian Belk (Eddie Jordan); James Belk Jr. (Debra); Megan Belk (Trint Mccorkle); Two sisters Dot Gunthrope (Tony); one nephew A.J. Gunthrope Linda Coker; and one brother Tony Stevens. Seven Grandchildren Alexis Hunter (Mickey); C.J. Starnes.; Lillian Knight; Justice Belk; Andrew Knight; Jamie Knight; and Tucker Belk.  One Great Grandchild Legend Carter.

Phyllis loved being a wife to her husband of 41 short years.  Her whole world was at peace as long as he was there, and he devoted his life to her happiness. As a mother her love and sacrifices were endless and knew no bounds.  Her children call themselves blessed and thankful to have had the honor of calling her mama.  Phyllis was a grandmother who cherished her grandchildren more than anything.  Seeing them happy was one of her greatest joys.  She was always their biggest cheerleader and fiercest protector. Nobody messed with her babies.

Phyllis spent her early years working in cotton and textile mills and retired from working in a convenience store where she was loved by many.

Visitation Service will be 5:30-7 PM Sunday January 05, 2025, at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home and other times at the home between 12-6pm.

Visitation Service will be 2 PM and the Funeral Service will be 3 PM Monday January 06, 2025, at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home. Service will be officiated by Joey Caskey and Rev. Rayvon Moore.

Jerry Hartley Funeral Home is directing the services for Mrs. Phyllis Belk and her family.
