GREAT FALLS, S.C. Mr. Roddey Eugene Broome, age 69, died Saturday October 22, 2022 as a result of an automobile accident.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls by Rev. Marty Roberts.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service at the cemetery.
Roddey was born February 25, 1953 in Chester County, a son of Carolyn Perry Broome and the late Maxcy Mills Broome.
He worked at his fathers garage, Max's Garage in Great Falls, was a great race car driver, and a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls, SC.
Roddey is survived by one daughter, Christi Gardner (Nick Caskey) of Lancaster, two brothers, Michael Broome and Richard Broome, both of Great Falls, one sister, Carol Ann Broome Roache (Kerry) of Winston-Salem, NC and three grandchildren Logan, Jordan, and Madelynn.
Roddey is survived by several nieces and nephews: Brandy, Preston, Pagan, Jessica, Katelyn, Kristen, and Matthew.
