Rogelio Benitez Romero 42 years old Born on December 26, 1981, in Mexico City. Died in Monroe North Carolina, on November 20, 2024, He went to high school in Mexico City. His favorite thing to do was to be with his family and friends. He was a very hardworking man, who did his best to provide for his family. He was married at the age of nineteen to Erika Jazmín Ortega Zuñiga. He is survived by his two children, Cinthia Arlete Benitez Ortega and Brian Axel Benitez Ortega. To date he had two grandchildren. Diego Ramón Mercado Benitez and Emily Támara Mercado Benitez. He is also survived by his father and mother as well as three siblings. ​​He was an incredibly happy person who loved to dance, make jokes, and make everyone laugh.

There will be a visitation service for his friends at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Monday afternoon from 2-3 P.M. December 9, 2024, at 684 Hubbard Dr. 803-285-8000. His cremains will be shipped to his family in Mexico.
