He was born January 16, 1938 a son of the late Ernest Ray Funderburk and Mary Lynn Carnes Funderburk and was married to the late Patsy Walden Funderburk. **The Family will receive Friends from 2-3 P.M. Sunday afternoon** January 23, 2022 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home 684 Hubbard Drive, 803-285-8000 Lancaster, S.C.The Graveside Funeral Service will be 11 A.M. Monday January 24, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow beside his wife Patsy who died Dec. 26, 2001. He Retired from Springs Industries Grace Bleachery as a Supervisor was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and served our Great Country in The United States Navy for 4 Years. He loved Deer Hunting and working on old Cars. He is survived by 2 Daughters Donna Funderburk and Patricia Funderburk Helms both of Lancaster, 2 Grandsons Matthew Mills, and Jimmy Helms, Jr. and 1 Great Grandchild Jace Helms, 1 Sister Doris Funderburk Usher and 1 Sister Preceded in death Betty Funderburk Usher.
