LANCASTER, S.C.::::::::::Mr. Walter D. Evans, age 84 died early Wednesday morning June 28, 2017. The Funeral Services will be 3 P.M. Friday afternoon June 30, 2017 at Alpha Life Church Of God Of Prophecy by the Rev. Marie Proctor, burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Pageland, S.C. The family will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. at the Church in Lancaster. Mr. Evans was born May 30, 1933 in Clarendon County, S.C. a son of the late John Elliott Evans and Elsie Marie Knight Evans, and was the husband of the late Elsie Deese Evans. Mr. Evans retired from Springs Industries Lancaster Plant Weave Room, and was a member of the Church Of God Of Prophecy.Mr. Evans is survived by 2 sons,Richard Evans and wife Rhonda Foster Evans of Lancaster, and Danny Evans and wife Annette of Ruby, 1 daughter Dale Evans Hendrix and husband David Hendrix of Pageland, Grandchildren are Brian and Daniel Rivers, Ra'Chelle , John, and Krista Evans, Great-Grands are Mirayah Evans and Joshua and Victoria Rivers, 1 brother, Thomas Evans and wife Elizabeth Evans of Hayesville, N.C. 1 sister Margaret Hunter of Lancaster, He was pre-ceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward Evans, Raymond Evans, and Leroy Evans, 2 sisters Willie Mae Boykin and Elizabeth Caroway.JERRY HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME, 684 HUBBARD DRIVE LANCASTER, S.C. 285-8000 IS TAKING CARE OF MR.
