LANCASTER S.C. Mr. William Blake 'WB' Evans Jr. age 83 died Wednesday July 6 2016 at his home. The Cremation Funeral Service will be 2 p.m Saturday afternoon July 9 2016 at the chapel of Jerry Hartley Funeral Home by Rev.Randy Hatcher burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Visitation for Bill will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. He was born February 9 1933 in Lancaster son of the late William Blake (Major) Evans Sr. and Azilee Scott Evans. He retired as an accountant from Lowenstein and Springs Industries, wrote an article called (Remembering When) for the Lancaster News, was a member of the First Baptist Chuch of Lancaster, and served our great country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Alice Rankin Evans of the home one son Albert Blake Evans and finance Rebecca Stevens, one daughter Katheryn Evans Stogner and husband Eric all of Lancaster, two Grandchildren Victoria Elizabeth Snipes and husband Randy Snipes and Steven Blake Evans and wife Tabitha Evans four great-grandchildren Katheryn Madison Snipes, Steven Blake Evans, Jr. Kaitlyn and Tucker Evans.
