LANCASTER, S.C. Mr. William Eli 'Bill' Whitesell, III age 86 of 1317 Kent Drive died Wednesday January 11, 2017 at his home. Funeral Services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 P.M. at Reformation Lutheran Church By The Rev Gene Baker. The family will greet friends at Hartley Funeral Home from 1230 until 145 P.M. before service time and then to the church for the service.Mr. Whitesell was born August 21, 1930 in Lancaster, S.C. A son of the late William Eli Whitesell, Jr, and Nell Mobley Wood Whitesell, and was married to Lynn Riner Whitesell. Bill was a Retired Professional Flight Engineer, and served our great country in The U.S. Coast guard for 3 years, on the Search and Rescue Mission Team, and a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years Lynn Riner Whitesell of the home, 1 Son William Eli Whitesell, IV and wife Chikako, of Seattle, Washington, 2 Daughters Cheryl Whitesell Lark and husband Carl Of Greenville, S.C., and Terry Lynn Whitesell McMurray and husband James Daniel McMurray of Chester, S.C., 1 sister Virginia Jaillette Fleming of Lancaster, S.C. 5 Grandchildren Mallory Bree Treece and husband David, Cooper Long and wife Laura, Ian Long, Sarah Whitesell, and Emilie Whitesell.The Family of Bill suggest Memorial Contributions to Reformation Lutheran Church 508 North French St. Lancaster, S.C. 29720THE HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME 684 HUBBARD DRIVE, LANCASTER, S.C.
