Mr. Sims is survived by a son, Jacob Sims, a daughter Kellie Sims and a grand-daughter Nicole Alicia Robel, 2 brothers, Tommy Sims and Doug Sims, 2 sisters Dianne Avant and Brenda Gardner. He was married to the late Debbie Ellis Sims.
